What was announced?
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in Budget 2024 that under the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana, solar energy panels will be installed on the rooftops of 1 crore houses. Also, 300 units of free electricity will be given to these 1 crore houses.

These people will be able to avail benefits:-
If we talk about eligibility, then those people who come from the poor class and middle class will be able to avail of benefits under this scheme.
At the same time, people whose annual income is less than Rs 1 or 1.5 lakh can also be eligible to apply.

These people will not get the benefit:-
If we talk about those people who will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme, then if you are a government employee, you will not be considered eligible. Apart from this, even if you are a taxpayer, you will still fall in the category of ineligible, etc.
