Everyone knows that breakfast is important, but many people are unaware of the nutritional value of this breakfast. Due to lack of time, people eat nothing for breakfast which is not good for health. Your morning breakfast should be so nutritious that it can give you the necessary energy for the whole day.

In this article, we are going to tell you about which nutritious elements should be included in breakfast to stay healthy. Let us tell you that we talked to nutritionist GunjanSachdeva about this and are sharing the information received from her with you here.

Nutritionist GunjanSachdeva says that breakfast is the first meal of your day through which the body gets the necessary nutrition. Therefore breakfast needs to be nutritious. Along with the vitamins and minerals necessary for the body, it is important to have protein, carbohydrates, fibre, fat and anti-oxidants. Let us know in detail about the usefulness of these essential nutrients.

Carbohydrate

The body needs energy after fasting for about eight hours during the night's sleep. So that you have enough energy for the whole day, you need breakfast foods that contain adequate amounts of carbohydrates.

To supply carbohydrates, you can include food items made from whole grains like wheat bread, oats or gram flour in breakfast. Along with this, potatoes and porridge are also healthy alternatives to carbohydrates. These things are not only nutritious for your health, but you will not feel extra hungry after eating them.

Protein

Like carbohydrates, protein also works to provide energy to your body. The difference is that protein can last longer than carbohydrates. Therefore protein can be an additional source of energy. Apart from being an additional source of energy, consuming protein keeps you full for a longer period.

You can fulfil your protein requirement from both veg and non-veg foods. While things like milk, soya and tofu are good sources of vegetable protein, animal protein can be obtained from eggs, meat and fish.

Fibre

To improve digestion, it is also important to include fibre-rich foods in breakfast. For this, include whole grains like wheat, barley, millet, rice etc. along with pulses, gram and kidney beans in breakfast. Fibre is found in abundance in vegetables and fruits like broccoli, sprouts, spinach and carrots, hence it is important to consume them.

Fat

Fat is generally considered harmful, but consumption of fat is also necessary for health. Whatever vitamins and other nutrients you take, they are completely absorbed only in the presence of a certain amount of fat in the body. Therefore, it becomes necessary to consume fat in the main meal of the day i.e. breakfast. To fulfill healthy fats, you can consume avocado, nuts and sea foods.

Antioxidant

To make breakfast nutritious, it is very important to include antioxidants in it. While antioxidants are useful in eliminating internal toxins from the body, they are also important in fighting external infections. Antioxidants protect the body from diseases by increasing the body's immunity.

To supply anti-oxidants, you can include broccoli, green leafy vegetables as well as fruits like grapes, blueberries, red apples and strawberries in breakfast.
