Hearing the name of Braj, you too must be remembering Holi of Uttar Pradesh, but here we are talking about Holi of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Brij Holi Mahotsav is organized every year since most of Bharatpur, which is called the eastern gate of Rajasthan, comes under the Brij region. This time this festival will be organized on 1, 2 and 3 March.
Know about this special Holi
On March 1, many programs will be held under the Braj Holi festival in Deeg town of the district. Sports competition will be organized at the fair ground at 10 am, Mehndi and Rangoli competition, mustache competition at Deeg Mahal at noon. After this, operation of colorful fountains at 4 pm and presentation of Rajasthani folk artists, cultural presentations based on Krishna Leela will be given by Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra, New Delhi under mega night cultural program at 7 pm.
Gulal Holi on March 2
Gulal Holi, Kunj Gulal Holi, Doodh Dahi, Laddu Holi, Lathmar Holi will be played at major temples in Bharatpur on March 2 at Kaman from 10 am. After this, at 2 pm, a grand and carefree procession of Rajasthani folk artists will be taken out from Shri Gopinath Ji Temple to Shri Radha Vallabh Ji Temple.
Special program on 3rd March
In Ratpur, sports competition will be held at Lohagarh Stadium from 10 am, Painting, Mehndi, Rangoli competition at noon and Safa tying and mustache competition at 3 pm in Government Museum. Entry to this Holi festival will be free. Overall, as soon as March starts in Bharatpur, the celebration of Holi will start.
