  • If you are a blood pressure patient then you should not consume salty food. Mixture namkeen available in the market contains preservatives. It contains extra sodium in the form of table salt, consuming it can increase your BP rapidly.
  • Eating green chutney is beneficial but it can also increase your blood pressure. In green chutney we add salt on top which is raw salt, it is not cooked. Because of this, it can also increase your blood pressure.
  • Eating packed or canned food items can also increase your BP. To store it for a long time, a large amount of preservatives are added to it, which are very high in sodium. Consuming it can also cause your blood pressure to increase suddenly.
  • Sodium preservatives are also used in meat products and sausages to keep them fresh for a long time. Consuming this also increases the level of sodium in your body.
