More than 200,000 tourists from all over the world come to visit this fair.

The Pushkar Camel Fair begins with the sale and purchase of camels and horses. At the fair, you can enjoy a camel race, tribal dance on gypsy music, a moustache competition and tug of war competition.

It is very famous for rose cultivation.

Pushkar is a city that boasts many specialities in itself. The city is also known for the cultivation of roses. It is called the Rose Garden of Rajasthan. The farmers here grow roses on a large scale and the variety of this flower grown here is exported all over the world. There are many acres of agricultural land where beautiful red roses of different colours are present. Everyone who comes here gets mesmerized.

2000 years old Brahma temple is located

This place is known for its religious importance. It is believed that Brahma dropped a lotus flower in the Pushkar lake and the city of Pushkar came into existence. Since then Pushkar has become one of the many abodes of Brahma. Compared to other Hindu deities, there are only 5 historical temples of Brahma in the whole world and the most important one is Pushkar.

Although there is no written history of the Brahma temple, it is believed to be around 2000 years old. It was destroyed by the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in the 14th century, but the temple was rebuilt by local rulers and his disciples soon after Aurangzeb's death.

Savitri temple is located

Pushkar has a temple dedicated not only to Lord Brahma but also to his first wife, Goddess Savitri. This temple is situated on a hill just behind the Brahma temple. Climbing the steps leading to the temple, one can have a panoramic view of the lake, surrounding temples and dunes.

Please tell that behind the worship of Brahma in Pushkar, there is a curse given by his wife Savitri. When Brahma ji got married for the second time, Savitriji cursed him that the one who created the universe would not be worshipped anywhere in the entire universe.

Except for Pushkar, there will be no temple of Lord Brahma anywhere in the whole world. Later, when the anger subsided, Savitriji also went to the hills near Pushkar to do penance. It is believed that by staying in this Savitri Devi temple, she does the welfare of the devotees.
