In ancient times, there lived a moneylender in a town who had seven boys. From the hand of the moneylender's wife, a spade hit the child, due to which that child died. The moneylender's wife was deeply hurt by this and she returned to her home repenting. A few days after this incident, the moneylender's son also died. Then suddenly in the second, third, and within a year all his seven sons died. One day he lamented to the women in his neighborhood that he had never committed any sin intentionally, But once, while digging the soil in the mine, unintentionally, a child of a sehi was killed by him and after that, all his seven sons died. All the women said to the moneylender's wife that if you worship Goddess Parvati on the Ashtami date of Kartik month and take shelter of her and make a picture of Sehi and her child and ask for forgiveness, by the grace of God your sin will be removed. . How to worship Ahoi Ashtami

  • On the day of Ahoi Ashtami, after doing the first snadi, put on clean clothes and take a vow of fasting.
  • Draw a picture of Ahoi Mata and her seven sons with ocher and rice on the wall of the temple of the house.
  • Ahoi Mata is considered to be a form of ParvatiMaa. Place a vessel full of rice in front of them.
  • With this, light a lamp in front of the mother.

  • After reading the fast story, perform the aarti of Mother Ahoi and after the worship is over, tie that rice in a dupatta or sari pallu.
  • Worship Ahoi Mata once again in the evening and offer bhog and burn incense by offering red and yellow flowers.
