Till today you might know the United Arab Emirates by the name of BurjKhalifa. But now it will also be known as the Hindu temple. The first BAPS Hindu temple was inaugurated in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday.
PM Modi inaugurated the temple
Ever since PM Modi inaugurated the Hindu temple in UAE, this temple has been talked about everywhere. PM Modi in his address said that, when I came here in 2015, lakhs of Indians had expressed to the President their desire to build a Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.
He immediately agreed. Prime Minister Modi said that he has provided such a huge land for the construction of the temple in a very short time. Prime Minister Modi said, I do not know whether I am eligible to become a temple priest or not, but I am proud to be a priest of Mother India.

Know the specialty of the temple
- What is the name of UAE's first Hindu temple - BAPS Swaminarayan Temple inaugurated by PM Modi? The land for this grand temple has been donated by the UAE. The total cost of building this temple built on 27 acres of land is Rs 700 crore.
- The construction work of this temple has been going on since 2019. This temple is built on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. Al Wakba, adjacent to the highway, is about 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi.
- 18 lakh stones have been used to build this temple. It is made of marble stones. A large amount of pink sandstone has been used for the temple. These were brought to Abu Dhabi from northern Rajasthan. The carving art of Rajasthan has also got a place in this temple.
- Artisans from the villages of Makrana, Rajasthan have made an important contribution in building the temple. Along with Hinduism, stories from the Quran are also engraved in the temple.
- The height of the temple is 108 feet. The sacred water of Ganga and Yamuna flows on both sides of the temple, which has been brought from India in big containers. Apart from this, pink sandstone has been used in the temple which has been brought from India. The stone carvings have been done by sculptors from India only.
