The date of uploading documents to an Aadhaar card is once again coming closer. This is the fourth time that people have had a chance to update their Aadhaar card for free. In June this year, the government had extended the last date for updating Aadhaar to 14 September and now this date is coming closer. Now less than a month is left for 14 September. To update the Aadhaar card, UIDAI has made a post on X and appealed to the people that the last date for updating is 14 September. Get your Aadhaar updated before that.

For the Aadhaar update, you will need two important documents. First identity card and second address proof. Usually, a fee of Rs 50 is charged at the Aadhaar center for an Aadhaar update, but according to UIDAI, this service is free till June 14. You can give a PAN card as identity proof and voter card for address.

Go to the UIDAI website from mobile or laptop. After this click on the option of update Aadhaar. Now login through OTP by entering Aadhaar number. After this click on document update and verify.

Now upload the scanned copy of your identity card and address proof from the drop list below. Now click on submit. After this you will get a request number and the form will be submitted. You will also be able to check the status of the update from the request number. After a few days, your Aadhaar will be updated.
