Follow these tips to manage diabetes
- Keep a fasting window of 12 hours. This means if you have dinner at 8 pm, then have breakfast at 8 am the next day and do not eat anything between dinner and breakfast.
- This improves insulin sensitivity and the body can use insulin more effectively.
- Walk for about 5-10 minutes after eating. This improves the movement of food in the digestive tract and reduces bloating and indigestion.
- Eat fibre, protein and then carbs in this order. This prevents blood sugar spikes and helps in controlling blood sugar levels.
- Do soles push-ups. This manages the blood sugar level.
- Do Mandukasana . It is effective in controlling diabetes. Due to this, glucose is absorbed well in the cells and the function of the pancreas improves.
- Instead of eating a full meal at one go, eat small meals at regular intervals. This gives the cells time to absorb glucose and the blood sugar level remains stable.
- Drink blackberry seed water every morning. It contains jambolin which works to regulate blood sugar levels.
