Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, was included in the playing-11 by Mumbai Indians for the first time. Arjun got a chance to play against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 22nd match of the 16th season of IPL.
To witness Arjun's special day, his sister Sara Tendulkar also arrived. Sara Tendulkar enjoyed the match sitting in the stadium. Sara was waiting for Arjun's debut for a long time
Arjun was bought by Mumbai Indians for the first time in 2021 for Rs 20 lakh. Arjun was again bought by Mumbai in 2022 for Rs 25 lakh. Arjun got his chance after sitting on the bench for two consecutive seasons. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma handed over the debut cap to Arjun.
