Team ignoring Umran
On Thursday, Zaheer told the media that the franchise has done a poor job in managing the 23-year-old Umran. He said that I think Umran Malik was not handled by the franchise the way he should have been.
Use Umran's talent-
Zaheer further said that the way SRH should have utilized Umran's talent has not been done. And it is visible. The bowler from Jammu and Kashmir made his debut for India in T20 and ODI formats after earning the tag of the emerging player of the tournament in 2022.
Did not play any match in May-
Umran also elicited reactions from the legends of cricket on the sheer pace of his bowling in the chances he got. Although Umran featured in only seven matches in IPL 2023. Umran took five wickets at an economy rate of 10.35 and is yet to play a match this month.
SRH did not pay attention-
The former bowler said that Umran was not getting proper care in the Hyderabad team. He further said that when you are talking about a young fast bowler, you have to create that atmosphere and support in the team. Umran needs guidance, which the Hyderabad team didn't pay heed to. Due to this, this season has been like this for Umran.
