In the IPL matches to be held at the International Cricket Stadium, Dharamshala, digitalization is being completely ignored. The world's biggest cricket Mahakumbh has appeared completely untouched by the digital age. Neither the facility of online transactions available at the ticket counter nor the documents kept on the phone are being recognized. Because of this, cricket lovers coming from far-off places to buy tickets are getting disappointed.
According to the information, a counter has been set up for offline ticket sales near gate number one of the HPCA stadium. The counter is selling tickets for the IPL matches of May 17 and 19 by opening at the scheduled time every day. But the cricket lovers who reach to buy tickets for the matches are not getting the facility here in the digital age.
In today's digital era, where everyone is resorting to UPI and other online mediums for money transactions, cricket lovers are getting troubled in buying tickets at this ticket counter. Ticket buyers have to leave the lines at the counter and run to the ATM booth for cash. The Aadhaar card present on the mobile is not being accepted even for the identity card. Because of this, cricket lovers have to approach Lok Mitra centers or cyber cafes for photocopies of Aadhaar cards.
Leaving the long line, there was a race for ATMs: Vishal

After standing in a long queue, I came to know that only cash is being accepted here. Due to this, he had to leave the line and run towards the ATM. Then went and got tickets to watch the match.
Vegetable vendors are also taking UPI payments: Pallavi
Pallavi Dhiman, who reached Dharamshala from Indora, said that when she went to the counter to buy tickets, she was told that payment is accepted in cash only. Due to this, he felt very disappointed. Expressing surprise, he said that now even vegetable vendors are taking online payments through UPI. But HPCA is not accepting it.
Had to go to a cyber cafe for an Aadhaar card: Yash
Yash Verma of Mandi told that he needed six tickets, but after that, he had his own Aadhaar card. When he offered to show the other Aadhaar card over the phone, he was refused the ticket. After this, he had to approach the cyber cafe to get photocopies of other Aadhaar cards. Had to worry about this.
