Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season has started with the match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The third match of this season will be played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Talking about the possible playing XI of the Lucknow team for this match, it can be a difficult task for captain Lokesh Rahul to select it.

For the first time in the year 2022, the Lucknow franchise got a chance to play in the IPL and the team travelled till the playoffs, impressing everyone with its performance. In the first match of the new season, the team will have to take the field without its two important players. This includes Quinton de Kock, who handled the responsibility of opening last season with captain Lokesh Rahul, and left-arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan.

While Quinton de Kock is currently busy playing international cricket, Mohsin Khan is yet to be fully fit. In such a situation, the responsibility of starting the innings with Lokesh Rahul can be given to Nicholas Pooran, who was bought by the team for Rs 16 crore during last year's mini auction.

Apart from Krunal, Stoinis and Romario can also get a place on the team
The team of Lucknow Super Giants can take the field in this match with 3 major all-rounder players, which include Krunal Pandya, Marcus Stoinis and Romario Shepherd. Apart from this, Mark Wood can be seen handling the responsibility with Avesh Khan in fast bowling, while the team has a leg spin bowler in the form of Ravi Bishnoi who can take wickets for the team under any circumstances.
