IPL 2023 News in Odia: New Delhi: T20 Cricket (IPL 2023) Mahakumbh IPL (IPL Tournament) is going to start from Friday 2023. Defending champions Gujarat Giants will take on Chennai Super Kings in the first match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. There will be a total of 70 league matches in this season of IPL (IPL 2023). In which there will be 18 double headers. IPL will be played in 12 cities Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamshala. Each team will play seven matches at their home and other stadiums.

Presentation of famous artists in the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of this season will also be held on Friday. Which will be seen after about 5 years. New rule in this edition

This time five new rules will be applicable in IPL 2023. If DRS can be used for wide and no ball then the impact player rule will also apply. Through this, an additional player can be brought in for bowling or batting in the middle of the match. Fielding penalty has also been implemented for slow over rate. If a team does not bowl its over within the stipulated time, only four fielders will be allowed outside the 30 yards instead of five in each over. The playing XI will be selected after the toss. After this the rule of deadball and five penalty runs will apply. According to this, penalty will be given on wrong movement of wicketkeeper or fielder.
