According to the schedule of IPL 2023, apart from Saturday and Sunday, there were two Thursdays in which two matches were to be played, but now there will be only one Thursday in which there will be two matches. At the same time, a Wednesday will also be like this, in which two IPL matches will be played. According to the old schedule, two IPL matches were to be held on April 20 and May 4, but now instead of May 4, two matches will be held on May 3.


Giving information about the change in the IPL schedule, the BCCI said, "The 46th match of IPL 2023 between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings, originally scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Lucknow, has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 3, 2023." Rescheduled for May 2023. The schedule has been changed due to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation elections on May 4. There is no change in the timing of the match and the game will start at 3:30 PM IST."

Two matches will be played on Wednesday, May 3. After Chennai and Lucknow, the match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will be held at IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali from 7:30 pm. This will be the first time that Lucknow will host Chennai Super Kings in an IPL match. This season both these teams have been face-to-face once.
