Talking to ETimes in Tunisha Sharma's death case, Sofia Hayat said- “I feel sad to see that youngsters commit suicide after their breakup. I think the makers are to blame for the death of these young stars as they hire young actresses and ask them to romance older boys. Girls who start their careers at a young age do not know the reality and are easily manipulated during shooting and become sexually active with older men, they think it is normal. I know all this because producers used to try to do the same with me but I used to turn them in the other direction."

'Ali Baba: Dastan-e-Kabul' actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on 24 December 2022 at the age of 20. In this case, the actor of the show and Tunisha's co-actor Sheejan Mohammad Khan has been arrested. Sheejan has accepted that he and Tunisha had a love affair and they broke up 15 days ago.
During interrogation, it is revealed that Sheejan had an affair with another girl as well. Sheejan is currently in police custody till Friday and interrogations are on.
