In the ED's probe into the alleged Rs 200 crore money laundering case, Thaksin Sukesh Chandrasekhar has made some shocking revelations. Jacqueline Fernandez's name was also mentioned in the inquiry.
Jacqueline had given some expensive gifts to Sukesh Chandrasekhar. They have been seized by the investigating agencies. Now, Sukesh Chandrasekhar's lawyer Anant Malik has made a statement from the newspaper, in which he said that it would not be appropriate for Sukesh Chandrasekhar to be cheated or lied, as he has not been convicted yet. Also Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Jacqueline Fernandes were in a relationship. Also, their personal relationship has nothing to do with this criminal case.
The statement came after the ED rejected Jacqueline Fernandez's application to downgrade the lookout circular. The application was made by Jacqueline Fernandes to go abroad. However, Jacqueline Fernandez will not be able to leave the country after the ED rejects her application.
The Directorate of Recovery had issued an LOC against Fernandes on December 5. Jacqueline Fernandes was later stopped at the Mumbai airport by immigration officials on a look-out notice. She was on her way to Muscat from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for an event. She was later brought to Delhi for questioning.
The ED has filed a chargesheet against Sukesh Chandrasekhar and other accused in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case at a Delhi hospital. He is accused of embezzling Rs 200 crore from the wife of a businessman in Tihar Jail. Also, Jacqueline Fernandes, a native of Sri Lanka, has been interrogated several times by the ED in this case.
The ED said in its chargesheet that Jacqueline Fernandes and actress-dancer Nora Fatehi were given luxury cars and other expensive gifts by thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The ED said in the chargesheet filed under the Anti-Money Laundering Act that Chandrasekhar had allegedly come in contact with Jacqueline Fernandes through makeup artist Shaun Muttathil.
