Sania Mirza will play her last Grand Slam tournament in February. Sania had planned to retire from tennis at the US Open in 2022 but an injury forced her to miss the Grand Slam.

Sania Mirza was born on 15 November 1986 in Mumbai, her childhood passed in Hyderabad. Sania Mirza played her first international tournament at the 1999 World Junior Championships in Jakarta.
In 2003, Sania won four gold medals in the Afro-Asian Games. In 2009, Sania won the first Grand Slam in mixed doubles with Mahesh Bhupathi at the Australian Open.
