SS Rajamouli won the Best Director Award

NYFCC: Directed by SS Rajamouli, who recently won the New York Film Critics Circle Best Director Award for his film RRR. While receiving the award, he gave a speech in which Rajamouli thanked his family, the film's cast, crew members, and the jury.

He said, “It is a great honor to receive this award from you. I am grateful for this. You have honored my entire cast and crew and brought a lot of attention to a small film from the south of India. Not many people know that such a place exists, but because of this, I am now sure that many people will look into it.

The director further added, “With RRR, I have seen overseas as well, the way Indians have reacted to the film, it has been loved overseas.” Rajamouli looked very emotional while receiving this award.

He was accompanied by his wife Rama Rajamouli and son SS Karthikeya and family while receiving the award. It is being told that when SS Rajamouli's name was announced for the award, all the foreigners sitting there also stood up happily and clapped for him.
