Noted lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and everyone, including himself, on the harassment of Muslim women on an online app. However, after his tweet, people started trolling him, due to which he had to make another tweet.

Javed Akhtar made allegations

Javed Akhtar wrote- Ever since I raised my voice against the online auction of Muslim women, people glorifying Godse and preaching genocide to the police started abusing my great-grandfather freedom fighter, who died in 1864 in Kalapani occurred during the sentence. What can you say to such idiots?

Questions raised on PM Modi

In his first tweet, the lyricist had said- "Hundreds of women are being auctioned online. The so-called Dharma Sansad is being organized, the army, the police, and the public are being asked to kill 20 crore Indians. I am surprised by the silence of myself and especially the Prime Minister on these issues. Is this everyone's company?"

Farhan Akhtar also protested

Akhtar's son and actor-director Farhan Akhtar had also strongly criticized the women's auction incident when it came to light. Farhan had tweeted and wrote that – This is going to make me sick. I request the police to take swift and strict action against those who are behind this shoddy work. Swara Bhaskar, Richa Chadha, Shruti Seth, and screenwriter Varun Grover have also slammed the incident, calling it "disgusting". Grover said that Muslim women in the country are being targeted in an organized manner and deliberately.

This is the whole matter

In fact, morphed photographs of hundreds of Muslim women, including some prominent personalities, have been put up for 'auction' by uploading them on the 'Bulli Bai' app without permission. This is the second time this has happened in less than a year. This app is similar to the 'Sully Deals' that came under controversy last year.
