Shekhar Suman on His Son's Death: Actor Shekhar Suman is currently ready for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series 'Hiramandi'. He is also giving many interviews for the promotion of the film. Recently, during one of his interviews, he mentioned the demise of his elder son Ayush. Talking about Ayush's demise, Shekhar Suman became very emotional and started crying.

Actually, Shekhar Suman and his wife Alka lost their son Ayush when he was just 11 years old. Ayush had a serious and rare disease called Endomyocardial Fibrosis (EMF). Endocardial fibroelastosis is a heart disorder commonly found in newborns and young children.

Shekhar Suman became emotional remembering his son.

When Shekhar Suman mentioned his late son in a conversation with ABP Live Entertainment, he became emotional. Shekhar Suman said, "Endomyocardial fibrosis (EMF) is a rare disease, which affects one in a billion. As far as I know, there may be only three or four cases in India. Unfortunately, there is no cure; The only treatment is a heart transplant.

'...But he could not save his grandson'

Shekhar Suman revealed that when we came to know about Ayush's illness, the doctors told us that this child would not be able to survive more than 8 months. He further told that his father Pani Bhushan Prasad, who himself was a high-profile doctor, had saved many lives, but he could not save his grandson. Shekhar Suman said, “You can imagine our despair… We did not spare any medical care available around the world. Spirituality, praying day and night, whatever is written in destiny always happens.

'Layed with my son's body the whole night'

Recalling Ayush's demise, Shekhar Suman said, "The day came when we had to admit him to the hospital. After the doctor answered, I took her in my arms. There was no life in him anymore, he had left us. I lay there with her, with her body, the whole night, the whole day, and kept crying. Alka was also crying a lot, but eventually, she controlled herself. What greater pain or sorrow can there be for a parent than bidding farewell to their child and consigning them to the flames of fire? We hoped that time would reduce the pain and the wound would heal, but instead, the pain increased further.
