Hema Malini on Lok Sabha Election: Hema Malini is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mathura for the third time. Hema has been MP from this seat for the last 10 years. Meanwhile, actress and politician Hema Malini revealed many things during a recent interview. The actress told that Dharmendra never wanted her to enter politics.
Dharmendra did not want Hema to contest elections.
Hemar Malini recently talked about his political career in an interview with News 18. He said- 'Dharmendra did not want me to enter politics. He told me not to contest elections because it is very difficult. I took this statement of his as a challenge.
Dharmendra had given this advice.
Hema Malini further said- 'He gave me such advice because when he came into politics, he had to face many problems. He not only had to travel a lot and also work in films. In such a situation, all this seemed like a risk to them. Besides this, he was also insecure about my safety. He was upset because his experience was like this.
Difficult to manage
: The actress further said, 'When you are a film star and enter politics, people's craze for you increases further. Everyone knew Dharamji's craze. For this reason there was a lot of difficulty in managing them. I also face many problems, which he does not like at all. But I am a woman and so I manage everything properly.
Let us tell you, Dharmendra has been the MP of Bikaner from 2004 to 2009. But he did not like politics much and left it. Although Hema Malini is still active in politics. Hema Malini is BJP's candidate from Madhura in the Lok Sabha elections. Voting here is in the second phase i.e. on 26th April.
