Actor Ajay Devgan visited Lord Ayyappa Swamy temple in Sabarimala. Dressed in traditional black robes, carrying arumudi kettu on his head, the actor along with other devotees reached the temple on foot and had darshan around 11:30 am.

Devgan also offered prayers at the Malikappuram temple located in the temple premises. The Sannidhanam Devaswam Board officials presented a shawl to the actor. It is being told that before the darshan, Ajay Devgan did hard meditation. He did not cut his hair or nails, nor did he shave his beard for almost a month.

Those wishing to have darshan of Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala have to perform rigorous rituals for the first 41 days. It is called 'mandalam'. It is believed that the actor also followed all these rules. Ajay worshiped and wore a Tulsi garland. It is being told that now he will wear mostly black color outfits for the coming days.

However, after worship, he did not give any statement to anyone but directly returned to work. He was spotted outside the dubbing studio where he was in the same look as Pooja. The big thing is that Ajay did not even wear slippers on his feet outside the studio. The Sabarimala temple has been opened for the Makaravilakku festival from December 29. The festival is on 14 January.
