Ranbir Kapoor has been seen as a lover-boy for years, but in Yash Raj Films' Shamshera, the actor is playing the role of a larger-than-life Hindi film hero for the first time. Ranbir, who is returning to the big screen after four years of the blockbuster film 'Sanju', will be seen opposite Sanjay Dutt in Shamshera. Director Karan Malhotra has designed the action scenes of his film in a very different way. Ranbir is going to be seen in full action mode in a train action sequence in this film. For this scene, Karan had to build a 400-foot train from the 1800s.

Talking about this special action sequence, Karan says, “Our action set is designed in such a way that will give a whole new experience to the viewers of Shamshera. This grandeur of action will stun you in cinema halls. However, we were very clear about what we had done. Every part of the set of the film shows the era in which the story of this film is. One such larger-than-life action sequence has been shot on the train. There were many challenges before us as it was not possible to get a train in the 1800s.

He adds, “Then we made an about 400-foot train for that sequence. This was a big job! I would like to congratulate Shamshera's production design and the YFX team for taking on this responsibility so well. It took almost a month to make this train with all its glory. I had to do a big action sequence on the train and I was determined to show how gorgeous such a sequence can look on the big screen.

Director Karan Malhotra further added, “I wanted to do it in One Take so that the audience would be surprised to see such a phenomenal scene! The credit for doing this scene goes to Ranbir. I remember after shooting I told him that he was born to do action films. You have to watch the film to understand what he has done as an action hero in Shamshera.
