PM Modi named 21 Andaman and Nicobar islands after Param Vir Chakra awardees, India's highest military honor, on January 23, 2023. January 23 is celebrated as Parakram Diwas. The program was organized on the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
