The England team led by Eoin Morgan may not have been able to do a 'clean sweep' of Ireland in the ODI series, but Morgan left behind the Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has 211 sixes as captain in international cricket. MS Dhoni kept these records with him for more than 6 years. Morgan hit a total of 4 sixes in this match. With this, he became the captain of most sixes in international cricket.

Dhoni achieved this feat by beating Ricky Ponting (324 matches, 171 sixes) on the New Zealand tour in 2014. At number four in this list is former New Zealand captain Brandon McCullum who has scored more than 150 sixes as a captain in international cricket. McCullum has 170 sixes in 121 matches. He is just one six behind Ponting.

Former South African batsman AB de Villiers is at number five with 135 sixes in 124 matches (as captain). Morgan has scored 144 ODIs and 71 sixes in T20 Internationals. This is the highest of any captain in both formats. He has achieved 163 matches, which is less than half of Dhoni's 332 matches.
