Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth has reached the quarter-finals of the Denmark Open. This is Srikanth's first tournament after 7 months. Fifth seed Srikanth defeated Jason Anthony Ho-Shue of Canada 21-15 21-14. Srikanth defeated unseeded Jason in 33 minutes in consecutive games. Srikanth was playing against world number-49 Jason for the first time. 27-year-old Srikanth will take on world number-2 Chow Tian Chen in the quarter-finals.

Taiwan's Tien Chen defeated Nahat Guen of Ireland 21-8 21-16. At the same time, Lakshya Sen was defeated by Hannes Christian Solberg Wittingas of Denmark 15-21, 21-7, 21-17. Christian beat the target in 55 minutes. Now the only Indian challenge remains as Srikanth in the tournament.
