The third match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia is being played in Sydney. Australia captain Tim Paine has won the toss and decided to bat first. Both teams have made two changes in their playing eleven in this match. While the Kangaroo team has introduced a new opening pair in the third Test as David Warner and Will Pukowski, India have included Rohit Sharma and Navdeep Saini
. Navdeep Saini is making his debut in Test cricket. However, after the dismissal of Umesh Yadav, T Natarajan was included in the squad and it was believed that he could play in this Test. Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel has cited Navdeep Saini as the reason behind getting a place in the playing eleven. Talking to Cricbuzz, Parthiv Patel said, 'I would have fed Navdeep Saini in the team because he has been with the Test team for the last year and a half. He has made his place in the team as the fourth or fifth fast bowler. And the way Mohammed Siraj has made a place in the team by doing well for India-A, so has Navdeep Saini, wherever he has bowled. So, looking at the records of first class and the form that exists, one should join the team.
Talking on T Natarajan, the former wicketkeeper said, 'I think this year has been unmatched for T Natarajan, but he has succeeded in the cricket of Safendra Ball. He is a tempting option for Playing XI. But, it will go the wrong message if you feed a player based on the performance of Test Cricket IPL. T Natarajan came on the tour of Australia as a net bowler, but he was included in the T20 squad after the exit of Varun Chakraborty, but before that he was given a chance in the third ODI, where he performed well. Natarajan was the highest wicket taker in the T20 series. After this, he was given a place in the Test team after the exit of Umesh Yadav.
