2021 Tata Safari: Tata Motors has launched its new Safari SUV in India. The company has priced its flagship SUV at an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 14.69 lakh in the Indian market, which goes up to Rs 21.45 lakh on its top-end variants. Let us know that the company had already started its prebooking, where customers can book it at the company's official dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 30,000.

Tata Motors has launched its iconic SUV Safari in 6 variants. These include XE, XM, XT, XT +, XZ and XZ +. Along with this, the company has launched it in both 6-seater and 7-seater configuration models. It is important to note here that all variants are available in the 7 seater configuration. But the 6-seater configuration will be available only in the XZ + and XZA + variants.

Talking about its power performance, it has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine with a BS6 component for power. Its engine generates 168 PS maximum power at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 350 Nm at 1,750-2,500 rpm. Let us know that this engine is also found in Tata's Harrier SUV. There has been no change in the transmission of the new Safari. The engine of this SUV is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Apart from this, there is also the option of Hyundai's 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.

The 2021 Tata Safari is available in three color options. These include Dietona Grace Royal Blue and Orcas White. It has 18-inch alloy wheels. Apart from this, it is 70 mm longer than the Tata Harrier.

Post-launch, the 2021 Tata Safari will now face stiff and direct competition from the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV in the Indian market.
