New Delhi: On June 13, the passing out parade was held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun. In which 433 cadets participated. Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane took the salute of the cadets. These cadets of the Indian Military Academy are the future warriors of the army. On June 13, the passing out parade was held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun. In which 433 cadets participated. These cadets of the Indian Military Academy are the future warriors of the army.

Keeping in mind the corona infection, the cadets maintained a distance of 2 yards between them and followed social distancing. Because of Corona, the parents of the cadets also could not come to the Indian Military Academy to watch the parade. They all watched the passing out parade from their home via TV or mobile.

A total of 423 cadets participated in the passing out parade. Out of which 333 cadets will become officers of the Indian Army and 90 are foreign cadets.


Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane took the salute from the cadets. He said - there are security challenges before the country. Jawans will raise their family name. All cadets should serve the country by rising above caste, religion.

The army chief told the parents of the cadets who could not come to watch the parade that till yesterday they were your children, now they are our children. You do not need to worry.

The army chief honored Akash Dhillon with the award of Sword of Honor.

In the morning of the passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, there were dark clouds in the sky and it also rained. The parade program continued during the rain.
