This facility has been provided to the soldiers in all the category buses of the corporation. The 13th meeting of the Sainik Welfare Board was held on 23 January last under the chairmanship of the Governor. The Governor took this important decision in this meeting itself. This was the first meeting chaired by Mishra.
It is noteworthy that the Governor is the ex-officio Chairman of the State Military Welfare Board. The Governor said that like the facility being provided to the paramilitary personnel, the soldiers of Rajasthan origin who were awarded the gallantry of the Armed Forces should also be provided free travel in roadways buses. Apart from this, there has also been a partial change in the timing of train number 02915 Ahmedabad-Delhi Special Train. This train will leave Ahmedabad at 6:55 pm instead of 6:30 pm and will go to Delhi via Jaipur at 4:50 am.
