Negotiations will be held between India and China on Saturday i.e. to end the ongoing deadlock in eastern Ladakh. Earlier, Lieutenant General (Retd) HS Panag claimed that China would have a heavy upper hand in the June 6 talks as it infiltrated nearly 40 to 60 square kilometers of land in three different areas of eastern Ladakh in India. In this meeting, which took place through video conferencing on Friday, the officials of both countries discussed how to reduce the tension on the border. After the meeting, China has shown softening.

The talks will be attended by the commander of the South Xinjiang Military Region and Group Major General Liu Lin of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) from China. He has been posted in this area since 2015. He was also made the Commander in 2019. Lieutenant General Harinder Singh has also worked in Africa under a mission to the United Nations and has seen combat experience in Jammu and Kashmir.
