IMD Predictions For Rainfall: An alert has been issued that due to heavy rains, the water level of the rivers may rise, due to which a situation like a flood can be created.The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in many states of the country till September 18. The IMD has said that due to the depression created on the Odisha coast, there may be rain in 13 states of India.
Heavy rain forecast in these states
According to IMD, Konkan, North-central Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rains in the next 3-4 days. Due to low pressure, the depression is moving towards North-West India through North-East Madhya Pradesh.
Flood-like situations can become
Let us inform you that in the last 4-5 days, there has been heavy rain in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Delhi-NCR. This caused a lot of trouble for the people. In many places, a flood-like situation has arisen. 4 people have also died due to rain in Odisha.
There will be heavy rain for the next 2 daysAccording to the Indian Meteorological Department, the effect of rain will also be visible in South India. It may also rain in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala for the next 2 days. In North India, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan will also receive rain till September 16.
It is worth noting that earlier this week itself, the IMD had issued a red alert in some districts of Odisha. These included Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Sonepur, and Bargarh districts.
Because of heavy rains, the Central Water Commission has also issued an alert. The commission said that the water level of the rivers may rise due to the rains. People living on the banks of the river should be shifted to safer places.
