Delhi Police on Saturday arrested two persons on charges of conspiring to kill Kashmiri activist Sushil Pandit. According to Delhi Police, Sukhwinder (25) and Lakhan (21) were apprehended by the RK Puram police after receiving intelligence that the two were planning a murder.

RK Puram police station staff arrested Sukhwinder, 25, and Lakhan, 21, both acquaintances from Punjab, who were sent to Delhi on the instructions of Rajkumar alias Tooti. According to the police, there may be foreign hands behind the conspiracy to kill, so investigation of the case has been entrusted to the Special Cell of Delhi Police.

DCP South West, Injeet Pratap Singh said, 'During interrogation, it was revealed that Prince was facing a murder case in Faridkot Punjab. He is Lakhan's childhood friend. Both were offered Rs 10 lakh for the murder of human rights activist and CEO of Hive Communication India, Sushil Pandit. Both were given 4 pistols and 4 cartridges, a mobile phone, and a photo of Sushil Pandit.

The DCP further said, "Given the seriousness of the case and seeing that it may involve foreign forces, the case is being transferred to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police." A case has been registered at RK Puram police station under sections of Arms Act, 120B, 115.
