Fruit facials are a great way to remove dark spots, pigmentation, and blemishes and to get naturally glowing and flawless skin. In this post, I have described how to make fruit at home using watermelon. Watermelon is not only a treatment for our taste buds, but it is also very good for our skin. Watermelon facial is especially great for those with dry and dehydrated skin. It contains about 90% water which helps our skin to maintain natural moisture levels and prevents skin dehydration. Also, watermelon is a rich source of antioxidants that help prevent early or premature aging.

Watermelon is amazing for our skin. Okay, so the first step to a facial is cleansing. Here, for our fruit face, we have used melon juice and coconut oil to deeply scrub the face. Mix two tablespoons of watermelon juice with 1 tablespoon coconut oil and prepare a cleanser. Use a cotton ball to apply a cleanser to the face. You need to do cleaning for at least a few minutes. Then, wipe the face with a damp towel. Now your skin is completely clean and ready for the next step, which is becoming steamy. Steaming is a very important part of any face. You can use a steamer for steamers, or simply take some boiling water in a container and use it to steam the face. You do not need to continue for more than 2-5 minutes.

Steaming opens the pores and also helps soften the layers of dead skin cells. Thus, this process makes it easier to release all the dirt and impurities trapped inside the pores, which would otherwise lead to breakout by staying inside. Another great benefit of facial steaming is that it makes our skin receptive to the next treatments. Exfoliation is the next stage of our fruit facials. Steaming opens the pores and softens the dirt and debris accumulated there, and the exfoliation helps to remove them completely.

Here we have used watermelon based scrubbers for exfoliation. Mix 2 tablespoons of melon juice and each of rice powder as well as 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Give it a good mix and your scrubber is ready here. Apply it on the entire face and then, using gentle hands, massage the face in a circular motion. Continue the process for 3-5 minutes. Once done, wash your face with normal water. Scrubbing will not only remove dead skin cells, but it will also help to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads.
